Graco Cynthia Rowley debut

Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

We are less than two weeks out from the big debut of the Graco Cynthia Rowley stroller to benefit the Elizbeth Glaser Pediactric AIDS Foundation. The event which is just one component in the campaign designed by FW is filling up with an amazing guest list of New York Moms of note (really some of my favs in publishing, fashion and more) including some women you have just got to love including Carol Alt, Shon Gabels and Kate Spade. The energy of the night promises to be amazing - but nothing compares to what we have put into motion with this program. Cynthia’s first stroller in partnership with Graco will benefit the work of EGPAF - bringing to life my personal passion for connecting the right people together for all the right reasons. In this case, the three teams on board have combined their talents and influence in a brilliant manner…I can’t wait to see this one shine. Keep your eyes out for the November issue of InStyle which will feature the Graco and the stroller in their BABY BY DESIGN special section.

The Buzz Baby

Monday, October 9th, 2006

This week’s issue of US Weekly was amazing. Major Kudos for the ever amazing Sasha Charnin Morrison, Fashion Director extrondiare for editing fashion pages like a true GODDESS. And in the same issue (another Aniston cover) check out Oopa Baby getting four bees in the “buzz o meter” ! Impressive week for (Oopa) Amy too — she is now being sold at Intuition, making a little debut on Issac’s show (featuring her super cute baby bloomers as worn by the young Jolie- Pitt girls as well as a cadre of other cute little Hollywood babes) and peeked the meter….I would say that the fairies at Forty Weeks are doing wielding their wands in a mighty way this week….

IO on the tube in October

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006

Between LA and NYC we have certainly been doing our jobs getting the goods on the good peeps!!!! And how lucky are we that so many beautiful women are expecting at the moment. Amanda has been doing her usual magic on the stylists in LA. The bump set (which now includes Jen Meyer, Bryce Dallas Howard and Marcia Cross) has fallen hard for Isabella Oliver. Of course, so have we, so who can blame them!?!! We had been told that Bryce would be wearing IO on the red carpet for her Tokyo premiere of Lady in the Water….GREAT then not…it did not happen…and so it goes…. Well the latest is a call in for a few choice pieces for her Oprah apprearance to tape on October 11. Also on the tube this week – Shon Gables will spend a few days on air (her test), at The View and YES she too will be beautiful in Isabella Oliver. Not to mention how we adore Shaye her stylist and love having her in to the NYC showroom (she is amazing though really much taller than most of our friends and we are actively jealous). So tawk, tawk, tawk – suddenly we love the genre. Which one of us will get the (lazy) lucky assignment of monitoring? Of course, NOT ME – but I am thinking Gina and her new bump would love this plum assignment.

Our friends of Forty Weeks – the circle of wonderf…

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006

Our friends of Forty Weeks – the circle of wonderful people who we are lucky enough to know, connect with and sometimes even work for along the way continues to grow. And one thing you can count on from this amazing lot is you never know what they will send your way! The ever-energetic and savvy Leslie Sagalowicz –co-founder of Belly Bars (www.nutrabella.com) introduced us to a pal of hers from her business school days at Kellogg. Leslie has been a die-hard Forty Weeks fan and a great supporter (not to mention, she makes a kick-ass product!) So a few emails and calls later I am privy to the details of the proposed work. I was immediately hooked by the project which had Forty Weeks written all over it. Not to mention the fact that the line is called EVERY BODY’S NUTS – and that suits us just fine. So, forget the weekend of sleep and gym (got to the gym – must get to the gym) — insert proposal writing instead. A little brain power from Gina, a little motivation from Amy and poof – we are off to the races….Thank goodness Ruth was on board – despite the weekend and despite the Jewish holiday. So, we have been working around naps (kids not ours) and atonement (Yom Kippur) to get this done. Really – it reminds me of how much there is to love about this business…and that has been a little elusive as of late! So we will get this in today – and I am thinking Ruth and I should be proud, proud, proud…
