So it goes something like this….September scares me. I am a mighty fierce soul…and still — between back to school (come on ENOUGH with the forms), the looming Jewish Holiday thing (thank you dear friends for agreeing to live with out my Matzo ball soup –actually Lisa Bernstein’s soup, and ya know – we share), and the continuous and amazing stream of projects happening here at forty weeks it is BUSY. So add it, just for kicks one more thing – our annual jaunt to Las Vegas for the ABC show. I leave tonight and will be joined by Teena and Doris on Friday. We have got lots planned….and will connect with many of our friends of FW while there. All good! It is just that pesky thing about packing and making it to the airport on time while simultaneously finding dress shoes for my kids (the holiday is on Wed) and getting all my peeps good for me to be gone that is making my head spin! And I need a manicure something bad. So, not complaining. In fact can’t wait for the world to see what Bumble, Bravado and Hushamok have got that’s new and noteworthy. And, looking forward to my time on the floor gathering fodder for the Wall of Shame, In Style sections for 08, and more. It’s all good – watch me juggle my way out west and see you there!

Talk about working! And a good team! And good timing, of course….Check out our beloved client Hushamok with the Hushamok Complete on Urban Baby today! This blockbuster hit (thank you Gina) driving traffic to our exclusive preview retail partner Genius Jones (thank you Doris) comes just days before Teena, Doris and I hit ABC (more on where to find us later) with the full line from Hushamok. How perfect for Hushamok to show up at the big party with this as an intro! Watch this client….they have got the goods for sure and are well positioned to do some pretty ground breaking things in the category. Congrats to Julie and Mark on bringing this baby to life! Is it me, or is there WAAAAY to much play on page six re Kelly Klien and her oh so personal choice to have a baby at age fifty? First pass they report it. Second pass they share the word from Bridgehampton where we are reminded of her good fortune – horse jumping and baby making – ohhh lucky. And now, perhaps she is lying? This could not be her egg? Seriously ENOUGH….

As many of you know, Forty Weeks was conceived when I was expecting the amazing Lila B! Today my baby turns nine….hard to even imagine it, yet true. Happy birthday sweet girl….you inspire me everyday with your smarts, beauty, creativity and love!

Earlier this week, Page Six reported that Kelly Kleinwas expecting a baby in November via suggogate. The 50 year old ex- wife of Calvin Kelin is a (quite beautiful) example of the ever expanding age range, resolve and resourcefulness of new parents. Then today, Page Six adds in this diddy about her Horse Jumping and surrogate pregnancy…
KELLY Kleinspent many hours this week at the Hampton Classic show grounds in Bridgehampton being con gratulated on her upcoming baby. As we reported, the ex-wife of Calvin Kleinhas hired a surrogate to give birth to a son in November, suppos edly using her egg and the sperm of an unidentified pal. Later, Kelly, 50, mounted her horse, Oz, and jumped him over some fences, prompting one woman to ob serve on the advantages of sur rogates: “If she was reallypreg nant, then she couldn’t even be riding.”
We are scratching our heads here…is she was reallypregnant? Advantages of surrogates? As I sit here pondering all of this a thoughts rush over me like waves (some of them are even serious). Suddenly I am wondering how this might play out on the left coast? Perhaps the detox darlings could consider not staying sober if they knew about this?

Due founder, Shannon DiPadova continues to expand! Here is the news — she is pregnant with number 3! And what’s more — her private label line continues to grow. Check out this adorable wrap dress (I am partial to the chocolate). We are sending lots of Forty Weeks love to Shannon! I would toast the new collection with champagne if only she could join us!

With the ABC Show just a few short weeks away, and my plate crazy full, you might assume me to be too busy to bother with the Wall of Shame. However, NO – I am not too busy for a little snark and scarcasm. So, without any futher ado, allow me to share the following information with you(this arrived via email today):

Major congrats and kudos to Friend of Forty Weeks, Childish Founder and now author Skye Hoppus on the launch of her book last week and her Today Show appearance today! Rock Star Mama is all kinds of fun and Skye totally rocks!
