On the road to spring perfection – masks and such

The sun was out and shining today and until dinner time too! A new season is about here — the problem is that my skin is stuck in endless winter mode. I am thinking I may need some sort of mega intensive rejuvenating day (an undisclosed location comes to mind) – but the odds of that happening are slim to none.

So as a back-up plan I am going to make a little list of my “spring into the new season” beauty essentials. And even if you are going self-serve – do it with style! I suggest a great sound-track (maybe some new Avett Brothers or early R.E.M) something wonderfult to drink (a little water with some bubbles or fruit) and a thick, thirsty robe should do the trick. Ready to get ready? Let’s begin -  Part One: Masks and Moisturizers:

I discovered Kiehl’s Antioxidant Skin Preserver when we were skiing and Bob got a little too much sun. He was dry and flaking like crazy. And, I was in search of a cure! At the bottom of Main Street. in Park City was the most precious boutique whose owner suggested he try this balm. Of course, he did but then I was sold! I have been devoted to this as a cool weather pick-me-up for several years now. It is jelly like in consistency and makes for an ideal overnight treatment. The antioxidants work hard to bring dull skin to life.

Bliss products and I have a funny relationship. I am not a big  fan of  new direction of the line – yet there a few products that remain on my “go to” list – the Steep Clean Mask is one of them. It is a perfectly balanced balancing mask – it offers both incredibly radiant and clean skin and also a 15 minute break from the world that feels transformative to me each time. Perhaps it is the ritual of the two formulas blending together by hand before landing on my face or the smell that forever reminds me of quiet Sunday nights in New York — something about it clears more than just my skin.

I have fallen deeply in love with the next product. Fresh is my go-to for things that are rich and ripe with the most perfect ingredients – they promise a deliver a multi-sensory super luxe experience (and they never let me down). Black Tea Perfecting Mask is just that — rich and soft – this mask is best described as whipped cashmere (is there such a thing?) for your face. And all the while the super-fine ingredients are delivering unparalleled moisture and glow – your nose is doing a little happy dance. Yes – I am a fan addict. You will be too!

OK so now off to pretty myself up and Spring ahead (like the clocks). Also note that lots of money was spent on these products – nothing was sent for free nor did anyone ask that I review anything (maybe not even you!!!!!).
