Making your office a mom-friendly environment

You’ve got a nagging backache (so much for your ergonomic office chair). Also nagging at you is how you’re going to breastfeed once you’re back at work—being acutely aware that it’s the way babies get optimal nutrition. Does your company have a lactation room? Will your boss let you take pumping breaks? In fact, only 24 states, including Oregon, New Mexico and New York, have laws to protect a nursing mother’s right to pump in the workplace, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
