April 2005 New York, NY-Forty Weeks, a consulting firm specializing in the maternity and new-mother lifestyle, was hired by American Baby, the leading baby magazine, to strengthen relations between the independent maternity community and manufacturers and retailers that serve it, through The American Baby Maternity Alliance.
The Alliance, created by Meredith Corporation, the publishers of American Baby, is a new tool designed to help manufacturers and retailers anticipate trends, better serve their markets and facilitate industry growth.
"One of our first projects will be to help create a newsletter and build a website that will enable retailers to hone their marketing efforts and connect them to the maternity and parenting markets," states Julia Beck, founder of Forty Weeks. "Our experience in the maternity and child arena will give companies and retailers 'to the minute' advice about this ever-evolving market."
The Maternity Alliance newsletter, entitled What's Hot Now, is distributed to retailers nationally, and will include Designer Profiles, featuring up and coming, as well as established designers with new market information, tips (e.g., "63% of first-time new moms have changed brands of personal care products used in the last six months!"), as well as seasonal forecasts and retail trends.
Forty Weeks, LLC provides a full range of marketing and sales consulting. Julia Beck, founder of Forty Weeks, has more than 15 years experience in branding, positioning, alliance marketing, public relations, ad placement and promotional programs and works exclusively with companies with products or services that focus on women during their journey through pregnancy and motherhood.
